Are you ready for Lent? Do you have a plan to help you grow in relationship with Jesus?
Yes, you will need to detach from the things that get in your way. But, we learn in recovery to replace that ‘character defect’ or as Ignatius would say inordinate attachment with something healthy and good to fill the space where something unhealthy once existed.
The book, “An Ignatian Prayer Adventure” by Kevin O’Brien, SJ is a life-giving resource to help you grow in relationship with Jesus. And, if you go to ignatianspirituality.com, and click on the Ignatian Adventure tab, there is a 6 week retreat available to you for free.
This year, I have been invited to write the weekly guest blog spots. I hope that they will help you as my experience is one that reflects a family’s recovery as it relates to the exercises.
Please feel free to share this with your friends. It is a wonderful resource. I will be praying for you and hope that you will pray for me.
Thank you for your posts on the Ignation Spirituality website. Your connecting the 12 steps to the Ignation fundamentals has been insightful. Both have been vitally important in my life but I don’t always see the connection. I hope your writing will introduce more people to the peace of Alanon.
Thanks. These (2) tools can be life-saving for families. The more you use them, the more connections you will make. Keep coming back and please help share this message. It’s so important.
