Scott Weeman of Catholic in Recovery and Jim Wahlberg, film producer and screenwriter have partnered with the Hallow App to produce a 21-day Journey through the 12-steps. It is an introduction into the wisdom of a 12-step program–not a substitution for working a program with a sponsor.
They invited me to share my testimony–from the perspective of a family member. Addiction comes in many forms. And this series does a magnificent job of laying out the ways that addiction affects us all–with a a path that leads to recovery.
If you have subscribed to Hallow, you can find my testimony from today’s episode here. But don’t just listen to me. Start from the beginning. There is something important to gain from listening to all of the episodes. I’ve been working a program of recovery for over 16 years and Jim and Scott’s perspectives, along with a few other guests like me, have given me new ways to practice my own recovery.
If you haven’t subscribed to Hallow, you can try it free for thirty days here. Hallow is doing important work. Shame and fear are the greatest obstacles for those needing to reach out for help. Bringing addiction into the mainstream means that fear and shame begin to lose their power. They only thrive in secrecy.
I hope you will listen to all 21 days and share this wonderful tool with anyone you know who may need its wisdom.
I’ll be praying for you and your loved ones!

Don’t forget to sign up HERE for the new offering at Ignatian Ministries: Side by Side. This series will help you do the work necessary to learn to walk side by side with those who suffer.
